CELEBRATE SPRING AND SUPPORT ART IN THE COVE!

This will be a fun spirited event in Deep Cove!  It is one of my favourite places to visit and fortunately I live close by. But we all know what a special place it is - whether you like to hike to Quarry Rock, meet  at Honey's for a donut or dinner at Arms Reach, kayak, theatre or just enjoy an ice-cream cone, please come and support "An Evening of Entertainment to raise funds for the beautification of Deep Cove".

Mark Saturday, March 22 on your calendar for a very special community event at the Deep Cove Yacht Club, sponsored by the Deep Cove Merchants Association. 

A fabulous lineup of local musicians and artists will be performing in celebration of the arrival of spring and to raise funds for some important projects in the village, including a set of stunning new summer banners, which will be unveiled during the evening. 

After a decade without street banners, in 2011 the community planned its first fundraising campaign.   A spring concert at the DCYC and a wine raffle organized by the DC Merchants Association made it possible to produce and install a beautiful pair of Charles van Sandwyk original designs on every lamp post – a major enhancement to the charm and uniqueness of the Cove. 

A limited number of these first banners will be auctioned off along with some other tempting items during the evening of the March 22 Spring Celebration.  Everyone is welcome!  Doors open at 7:00 and tickets are $20, available from the Seymour Art Gallery or by contacting Anne Collins at deepcoveanne@gmail.com or 604 961-0826.
