The need for a new bridge !

If you live in North Vancouver and take the highway or Second Narrows Bridge on your daily commute, you may have noticed an increase in traffic around Lower Lynn. The Keith Road extension scheduled for completion by Fall 2014 will improve traffic flow.

The District has begun design work to replace the 70-year old Keith Road Bridge over Lynn Creek. The bridge and adjoining road form part of a major east-west vehicle route to the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge and the Seymour and Deep Cove communities. It is heavily used by North Shore commuters, transit, cyclists and pedestrians and is unable to handle increasing traffic volumes, resulting in congestion during peak travel times. The new bridge and roadway will enable a more efficient commute, improve east-west connectivity through the District and support future Highway 1 improvements.
